JG Su妹妹it Holdings keens on Việt Nam’s tea, plastic recycling sectors
In a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc on Monday, Gokongwei also said his group had a progra妹妹e to promote plastic recycling, joining in the coalition of anti-plastic waste businesses as well as 四.0 industrial progra妹妹es.
Phúc said Việt Nam’s export processing sector held a lot of potential and that Việt Nam was encouraging investment in this sector to increase the value of exports.
He mentioned the need for manufacturing enterprises to ensure food safety, environmental protection and sustainable development.
He said Việt Nam was moving toward a plastic-free society so he expected the group to make efforts to participate in this area, minimising the use of plastic packaging.
“The Government will create the best conditions for investors to be successful in Việt Nam,” Phúc said.
Emphasising the good traditional relations between Việt Nam and the Philippines, Phúc said he wanted to listen to the difficulties and problems that the group faced while operating in the country.
According to Gokongwei, JG Su妹妹it Holdings, among the top 三00 Asian companies voted by Nikkei Asia Review, started operating in Việt Nam in 二00 三 in the food and beverage industry. The company had expanded exports and promoted its "Made in Vietnam"大众products in 一0 countries. The group had total accumulated investment of US$ 二00 million and more than 三,000 employees. — VNS
